One of the best exercises to help you lose weight is going through circuit training. Circuit training is a type of exercise that focuses on improving your strength, stamina, and resistance. This is a series of about 6 to 10 strength training exercises, with each exercise to be performed for a certain number of times before moving on to the next. After one “circuit” or set of training is done, you go back to the first exercise and start over again or you move on to the next circuit with a different set of exercises in it.

Each exercise is punctuated with several seconds of rest period. The period of rests is a bit longer between circuits. Different numbers of circuits may vary depending on the level of training you are on. Ideally, this has the effect of giving a full-body work out because each exercise within the circuit focuses on a different muscle group. This not enables you to lose weight but increases your strength and endurance as well.

Of course, like in any work out regimen, it’s best that you warm up before the work out and then cool down afterwards. Also, like other work out regimens, circuit training has its pros and cons.

The positive side:

  • Provides the appropriate kind of training needed for most kinds of sports.
  • Builds stamina, strength, and endurance.
  • It’s easy to adjust the circuit exercises according to age, health status, etc.
  • Circuit exercises are supposedly easy to follow and simple.
  • Because of the varied types of exercises within a circuit, the level of boredom is kept at a minimum.

The negative side:

  • Since circuit training is built around some equipment, it’s going to be difficult to do this inside your home. Circuit training is best done within a gym that has the appropriate equipment, so this might be a bit expensive as a weight loss option.
  • If you do decide to set up your own gym at home, you’ll need ample space to move around during circuit training.
  • Ideally, circuit training is done with the guidance of trained professionals.

Of course, you can design your own circuit that don’t need too much specialized equipment save for a few dumbbells and exercise balls. An example of circuit training that doesn’t need specialized equipment is as follows:

  • 5-10 minutes of light cardio workout (mild training on the treadmill or stationary bicycle, or brisk walking)
  • 5 minutes of stair climbing
  • 5 minutes of basic squats, or squats using an exercise ball
  • 2 minutes of jumping rope
  • 5 minutes of lunges (hold a small dumbbells on both hands if you want)
  • 2 minutes of push ups
  • 3 minutes of kicks or squats with kicks

You can modify this circuit however you want, or add a second set of circuits that focuses on different muscle groups. When this circuit becomes too easy for you, you can step up to a different kind of circuit. In a few hours a day, you can lose weight and get a natural energy boost coming from exercising.

To lose weight effectively, you can combine circuit training or any other exercise with safe and natural diet pills such as Proactol.
